So sorry you went through it, it is awful. Nell

When I was (tested to be) really low in potassium I was in emergency with heart palpitations. > Any ideas how to treat? > See pages 98-99 in " Amalgam Illness " . One thing to do is to eat potassium rich foods - like bananas, citrus fruits and vegetables and veg juices. Another is to use salt substitute (KCl) on food only to taste. If it tastes good use it; if it doesn't taste good you've had enough. I have been known to go both high and low in potassium. Too high is even worse than too low. I wouldn't take potassium supplements without my doctor following it (frequent testing). But I find that when my electrolytes are probably really out of whack I feel too sick to go sit in the blood draw clinic.
