How much do you weigh? That seems like a lot of DMSA and ALA in the beginning.

I usually feel better on round than off, unless I get sleep deprived from having

difficulty

going back to sleep after the alarm goes off.

I also had some weird ear stuff in the beginning of chelation

in Illinois, round 57

I weigh about 235 pounds, fairly bulky male. Main complaint was

adrenally related, anxiety, slight depression and just overall

yuckyness, fatigue etc. The off round symptoms don't bother me too

much, I can deal with them, I just wanted to know the mechanism. I

was also thinking maybe because ALA was a antioxidant maybe thats why

I felt better on round then off. Thanks

Of course, if it was chelating SOMETHING I would'nt get the insomnia

the day after, the adrenal feelings, feelings that I can't breath, and

the ringing that has returned after it went away during the round. To

me ringing is a sign of metals movement because this happened on my

first DMSA round and of course DMSA is'nt a antioxidant, if anything

it probably promotes oxidation because it is after a drug.

Thanks

TK--- I think you mean [if it wasn't chelating something] you

wouldn't be getting side effects - which is correct. The fact that

you do get significant side efffects indicates you have Hg toxicity

To

> me ringing is a sign of metals movement because this happened on my

TK--- correct it is a side affect many get while chelating showing

the movement of Hg somewhere in you to cause it. Depending on

individual sensitivities, injury, damage, where the Hg detaches

attaches and re-attaches etc.... the side effects will be different.

, if anything

> it probably promotes oxidation because it is after a drug.

TK--- correct, the reason we all need to beef up on antioxidents

A,C,E,EFA's etc...ALA does help with this as well as chelating.

It might mean you do better with higher cysteine levels. You might

want to compare how you do with reduced cysteine vs maximized.

Some people feel much better with more.

If it is tolerable is there a need? It is'nt life limiting just,

uncomfortable.

I am thinking of ALA only for expense up to instead of 4-5 days 7

days. Suggestions?

I am 235 ibs, is 100 mg too much, if so I may have misread the AI

book? Please fill me in if I am wrong!

Thanks

TK--- your post said you were having problems, if they are tollerable

they are fine if not lower dosage - it is still a lot to begin with

and I don't recommend starting with that high of an amount, it isn't

as safe. side effects do not always start right away.

TK--- do not base your chelation on expense. much more expensive to

mess yourself up. 7 day rounds are fine for certain individuals.

TK--- dosage is by weight links section and one should start on the

low end. But, no matter what you weigh if you use too much chelator -

more than your body can handle you can cause serious problems and it

is safest to start low - general suggestions in the files section.

The thing is, chelation takes years. You probably don't want to be

uncomfortable for that many days. Also, side effects can build up, so

that a dosage may not give any side effects to speak of for a few

rounds, and then you get walloped.

Marathon not a sprint, is the mantra...

This is likely since I have something called Gilberts, and people with

gilberts do better with high sulfur apparently.
