Guest guest
Hi !! Hope you enjoy all your travels!! I hope everyone in the group has a wonderful and prosperous and LIVING NEW YEAR!! (HEE HEE!!) I would like to ask the group to say a prayer for my daughter if you all would. I just found out for Christmas we are getting grandbaby # 4 from her. She is only about 5 weeks now and has started some bleeding for the last week but so far no miscarriage. I had one myself when I was younger (would have been my second child) and I was totally devastated. I really don't want to see her go through that because it is an awful feeling. She has 3 boys, ages 10, 5, and 3 and so wants to try for a girl. She is afraid maybe this is happening because she is 27 now and maybe her body has been through too much (3 C-sections and bladder surgery as a child) to carry another child. Hopefully things will be okay. She went to the ER and they told her just to have pelvic rest as much as possible and that she could "spot" for up to 12 weeks. She never had any bleeding with the first three, so she is really afraid. I know God has a reason for everything that happens and hopefully things will be okay. I am just really worried about her. Any prayers would really be appreciated. I know she would feel really great to know people are thinking about her. I will keep you all posted. I am getting worse cold symptoms again today, but still haven't gotten over the pneumonia since Thanksgiving, so is just a rollercoaster ride that we all know about. I think I am ready to get off this rollercoaster!! I hope again you all have a wonderful New Year!! I am sitting here waiting to watch the ball drop and will probably go back to bed. Will probably be hearing fireworks outside soon!! HAPPY 2009 EVERYONE!! Guest guest
Bruce, Let us move on to 2009. For me 2008 sucked. Not that meeting up with this group has not been worthwhile and extremely helpful. But, as we always say, " glad you found us, but sorry you needed to " . 8 sessions in the Big House would not constitute a good year for me so my resolution is to stay on track with all my conditions and stay out of both the ER and the patient care floors. I know that 2008 was good for many and I rejoice in all the successful lungs that were put in place in this group. I think not only of the transplanted but pray for those people and their families who were willing to give such a gift of life for others. That is not always easy. Enough of my steroid induced maudlin behavior. I vote we move ahead to 2009 and look forward to new treatments, new lungs and better informed pulmodudes.
