Guest guest
I just thought I would share my first experience of ALA. I have been chelating 3 hourly with DMSA, 25mgs for about 14 weeks now (a round a week) and decided to have a go with the ALA. Sadly this has proved to be a big mistake. I used 6mgs every 3 hours (I couldn't cut the tablets any smaller!) but it has made me really ill. Severe headaches and needing to sleep all the time. It's 3 days post round now and the headaches have eased off but I am definitely left worse for wear. I am really miserable about this as it is my brain symptoms I so desperately want to improve. But I guess I am going to have to wait many many more months before I try the ALA again. I only hope that I haven't done any damage by taking the ALA? I used 6mgs every 3 hours 14 weeks is barely 3 months and you may need more time to reduce your body burden of mercury. Did you take the ALA alone, or with DMSA? -- > (I couldn't cut the tablets any smaller!) but it has made me really > ill. Severe headaches and needing to sleep all the time.
