Guest guest Posted December 3, 2008 Report Share Posted December 3, 2008 Peggy I recommend the pulmonary department at Penn--University of Pennsylvania My pulmonary doc Kreider, my transplant doc is Vivek Ahya sees someone else at Penn Penn is a teaching hospital with a lot of good docs Patti goes to Temple University Lung department Except for the fact that Temple is also a teaching hospital, i don't know anything else about the department Temple does have a support group, Patti can tell you more about that As far as I know, Penn and Temple are the only two teaching hospitals with specialized pulmonary departments in Philadelphia they are the ones the original pulmonary doc suggested i contact after he got the diagnosis and said that there was nothing he could do i hope this helps If she lives closer to New York City, there are several teaching hospitals there I think the coalition for pulmonary fibrosis held the seminar are Mount Sinai if she wants to talk send her my email or phone number Pink Joyce IPF 3/06 Pennsylvania Subject: Philly ladiesTo: Breathe-Support Date: Wednesday, December 3, 2008, 3:40 PM Hi , Pink and I forget who else is close to Philly. Temple University has a good Lung Center but all the referring Docs told me to go to Penn. Z fibriotic NSIP/05 Z 64, fibriotic NSIP/o5/PA And “mild” PH/10/07 and Reynaud’s too!! No, NSIP was not self-inflicted…I never smoked!
