Guest guest
Unfortunately I bet it is something you are eating. When I was on the gluten free, dairy free, sugar free diet, my stomach never bloated. I really need to get back on it. Also a friend of mine that is 47 ate nothing but gluten covered fried foods one day and she could not even button her jeans that night, she looked 3 months pregnant! Keeping a food dairy is the best way to figure out what it is that is bothering you. I found that when I ate nothing but meat and veggies and drank water I never was bloated.See what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage. Guest guest
I think it could be the yogurt. My friend is totally lactose intolerant, she can not eat sour cream, cheese of any type, no yogurt, milk, etc. Her stomach bloats like a balloon if she does. Guest guest
ML, That is a good start. Try FRESH chicken, eggs, duck, turkey, beef, pork, fresh potatoes cooked any way, Lundberg's rice cake and rice, any fruit you want and any vegetable you want and any nut you want. Be careful of what kind of flalvoring is used when you cook it. Salt and pepper and lemon juice and garlic and olive oil do a lot of good things to food. That is a lot of food. And order some gluten free rolled oats: Gifts of Nature, Inc. 810 7th St. East Polson, MT 59860 Call toll free 1- If you eat only those foods you will not bloat and other good things may happen. Guest guest
: i dont eat sugar, fried food, ice cream, gluten. I had almonds, red grapes, half small avocado for breakfast. for lunch, two slices of nitrite free roasted turkey breast...Alpine Farms. I HAD given up on the ACTIVIA yogurt and my stomach got worse so I bought the mixed berry today and had that for lunch. for mid afternoon snack, watermelon. WHAT can be wrong with THAT? I am really stumped as to what is causing it as I barely eat anything other than God's fresh produce as HE made it and fruit fresh. I have given up BREAD entirely even the Ezekeil bread. I dont eat bacon or pork. Just Salmon, tuna, chicken. Beef maybe once a week if that. NO pasta. SHESSH what else can Igive up I have to eat. I dont even do cheese. If I do, it is the string cheese stick. only one. I do not drink juices or soft drinks! thanks for any help. WHAT is easy to digest any way? Maybe I should give up fruit??? hugs, ML <<<< Subject: Re: gas and bloating Unfortunately I bet it is something you are eating. Guest guest
You are very likely just like most of the people in the world and cannot tolerate milk (yogurt, etc.). You have no idea what is really in that turkey besides being nitrate free. Eat fresh turkey and roast it with salt. If the breast is what you want buy one or a thigh or whatever. Eat fresh food. That is the only way you really know what it has in it. Guest guest
Sweet potatoes give me painful gas. So I usually take Beano before I eat them. I presume you don't drink coffee. Coffee with cream also gives me gas so I drink it black. Ora
Guest guest
Cream, milk, nonfat or otherwise. It all does the same thing. But the powdered stuff doesn't. And I never eat any kind of dairy unless my stomach is empty of coffee. >Oh I drink a little coffee. Maybe two cups a day. I am using fat fee milk >in it tho I do sometimes drink it black. Guest guest
Avocados make me bloated. There's a lot of fat in them, even though it's good fat. I can't eat a whole avocado or I feel sick. Fat is what causes gas. Dairy also stops me up, and fried foods make me feel like a balloon. I can't figure out what makes me run smoothly either, though, I am always either constipated or have diahrea. I have tried to go gluten free, all natural, dairy free, and egg free (I'm actually allergic to eggs) but it is HARD if you love to eat! Choose the right car based on your needs. Check out Yahoo! Guest guest
Have you tried NAG? (N-acetyl-glucosamine). It really turned me around. Guest guest
okay I am willing to give it a go and give up the yogurt and the milk in my coffee. When I do eat oatmeal, I do not put milk in it. thanks for sharing you could be on to something ...love, ML <<<<<<<<< I think it could be the yogurt. Guest guest
ML, Milk is the most allergenic and difficult food to digest there is. If you are lactose intolerant your villi in the small intestine have been damaged and you don't have the enzymes to digest it.They were likely damaged by something you are allergic to like gluten for example. Besides the lactose intolerance you may still be forming antibodies to milk. So, milk in any size, description, form is not good to drink since you have this trouble. Oatmeal you by in the grocery store has been milled with the same equipment as wheat and other grains and the oatmeal is contaminated with gluten. The only oatmeal I know of that is gluten free is the one I posted yesterday I think that I order by the internet. If you want to not be bloated etc., you must not eat gluten and milk products, any kind, to see if it works. I hope this works. I am not really telling anybody what to eat but if you want to stop bloating that is the best way unless there is another problem. I read an article today in a home town newspaper thing that says abdominal pain, urinary problems, bloating, gas is a symptom of ovarian cancer. So, just be aware of that also. Guest guest
When I was having this problem, I found that it was the good yogurt with live bacteria that was causing my discomfort. Even straight up plain unsugared yogurt (I never at the sugared variety anyhow). So now I avoid it all together. The gas and bloat would start within hours of eating it and take days to return to normal. Sorry I don't have any suggestions on what you can eat. dawn wrote: > > > Is anyone having a problem with gas and or bloating. BLOATING...my stomach > is relatively normal when I get up. Guest guest
ARLINE: I have not been told that I am lactose intolerant. I was just willing to try anything! LOL Well, I dont have my ovaries tho and I could be wrong I think a person can still get ovarian cancer ...seems I read or heard it somewhere I dont know. Yeah, I figured that was what the deal was that the oatmeal was milled with machinery used for other things. sheesh and I just bought a big batch of regular oatmeal! My neighbor may want it for her kids. I will see. I just cannot throw out anything! I am willing to give it a go to see if giving up the milk and gluten as my goal is to be BLOAT FREE! thank you so much!
