Guest guest
Peggy, I'm so happy you're home and I'm even happier that the ct scan is the same as the one from way back in March! That's awesome! It's great that they figured this out so now they can treat it effectively instead of antibiotic after antibiotic which wasn't solving the problem. Just be aware that the fluticasone is a steroid so you need to watch out for thrush in your mouth. I know you're using a nasal spray but the nose and the mouth are connected. So just rinse your mouth well and eat yogurt! Love you and welcome home!! Guest guest
Peggy Now admit it....doesn't it feel great to know what's going on and know now that you've been checked and you have the meds that will take care of the problem? I suffer from severe sinus problems myself. Always have but they became worse starting in April 2006 and led to an ER trip then. My head and face had swelled and that was a new experience for me. I realized the extent when I went to remove my glasses and could barely get them off plus had huge indentations. I have days that if I wasn't aware of them I'd think my breathing was really going downhill from the disease. But, instead its just so much congestion that I'm fighting. So, I'm happy now to know that when it comes to your PF you're stable and now you're armed with the right ammunition to fight your sinus troubles and get well soon. > > Peggy, > I'm so happy you're home and I'm even happier that the ct scan is the same as the one from way back in March! Guest guest
It's Flonase.. a steroidal nasal spray. My sinuses swell shut so quickly then I can't get the 02 up my nose. This really helps. I think I forgot I am to use my netti pot or a sinus flush twice a day too.You know what ! where they had the IV's in the backs of my hands was terrible brused when I left the Hosp but this AM you can hardly see where they were. That is a good lesson for all of us to know how much our system is in over-drive trying to heal us. but in the lungs it just won't stop. Anyhow I am feeling weak but happy to be home.
