SPECT scan - metals, disease (lyme et al), brain hypoperfusion - chicken & egg

Interesting to note that my sons's SPECT scan results struck a chord

with the Lyme/Autism group members.

My question for the people affected with metals is:

Would hypoperfusion be a signature of having metals in the brain

(don't understand the possible mechanism) or would this instead be an

artifact of the overall damage inflicted by metals in the body

resulting in susceptibility to infections etc ... which would then

cause the inflammation, hot/cold spots.

Here is the text lifted from a poster in the Lyme induced autism group

regarding the detailed description of my son's SPECT.

*** This is the broken record SPECT scan result for autistic/ADD

kids, sounds like ours but this one is even worse (sorry) I think?

Much of his foci seems to be in the temporal lobes, which makes sense

with your diagnosis. He seems to have much more detail than our

impression, where was this performed at? Can you upload the picture

to our files section? I can do ours and we can compare brains...and

by the way, get one for yourself. You will be amazed at the parallels.

I bet this same child would get an MRI and it would be unremarkable.

They should be pushing the SPECT scan on all of these autistic/LD

kids, to find out their brains are severely inflammated with hypo and

hyperperfusion with underfunctioning with seizure foci, typical signs

of viral, bacterial, mycoplasma or fungal process, toxins, metals,

insufficient metabolic activity, gene problems, and at times hypoxia.

Where does the hypoxia come from? At times seizures or even apnea,

other times their birth history with immediate cord clamping (see

www.lotusbirth.com ) and or just simple damage from all of these. I

feel all of these had a hand in my children's autism lyme.
