I learned a long time ago not to binge on candy as it will reduce potassium (via interfering with blood sugar levels) and I get excruitiating leg cramps that no amount of magnesium or calcium will help. > > So, with potassium supplements supplying a meager 99 mgs per tablet, how do you get more potassium into a person? They are now recommending 4.6 grams of potassium for an adult and that's a lot of fruits and vegetables. We're not going to high dose anything until Andy has a chance to look at all of her labs, etc, but I'm at a loss to figure out how to introduce more potassium. > > Thanks, > > >

We have a Juiceman juicer - I doubt if it's the best available but this one has had years of abuse and still works. I have seen some sort of juicer on sale at Walmart occasionally. The juice I make that tastes good is lots of celery, some carrot, some apple and some ginger. I get (good) produce half price when the shelves are being restocked. Supposedly if salt substitute (KCl) tastes good more potassium is needed (if it tastes horrible, cut back). Mixing NaCl and KCl would make that test confusing.
