Guest guest Posted June 20, 2012 Report Share Posted June 20, 2012 Thank you Dave, I needed some feedback, and I appreciate your opinion sugar 'Lower the noise in your life and you will hear God more clearly.' ~Sugar what do you think about this recipie:Diabetic Homemade Granola want to know some feed back on this recipie: Diabetic Homemade Granola Recipe By : Serving Size : 26 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Diabetic Snacks Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 4 cups Uncooked quick oatmeal 1/4 cup Granulated sugar substitute 1 cup Chopped peanuts (no skins) 1/3 cup Vegetable oil 1/2 cup Grape Nuts 1/2 cup Wheat germ 1/2 cup Bran 1/2 cup Raisins Spread the oatmeal on a cookie sheet and heat in a 350 F oven for 10 minutes. Combine all but the wheat germ and raisins. Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet or pan for 20 minutes, stirring once to brown evenly. Allow mixture to cook (?) in the oven. Add wheat germ and raisins. Next, this recipe has lots of carbohydrates, including the raisins. I would suggest using old fashioned oats instead of the quick oats. If you're planning to go on a major hike, or run or do some other kind of exercise, it's probably okay.
