Until recently I couldn't have anything with caffeine in it or the next day I would have one. Even now if i don't go to the restroom frequently my stomach hurts when I do. Guest guest Posted March 16, 2008 Report Share Posted March 16, 2008 I don't know the answer to your question; but I had UTI's frequently when I was young; like my 20's. Then I never, ever got them. I've had UTI problems the last year. Several bladder and kidney infections. I also had the corrective surgery last July. It has helped some of the problems; but I still got a bladder infection twice that I know of since then. (I also have Lupus). So I don't know; I think anything can increase when you body is combating a chronic condition.
