TK--- single doses of chelators are going to cause redistribution side effects, it needs to be taken in rounds every 4hr to minimize this. Unless you got the side effects right away after taking it in which case you ned to reduce dosage. Guest guest Posted April 23, 2007 Report Share Posted April 23, 2007 I scared myself good with 25 mg doses of DMSA and DMPS. At 12.5 mg I didn't get anything - not even a buzz. Reduce the dose to 12.5 mg and be prepared to continue every 3-4 h for a full round. If you get significant side effects at 12.5 mg, then STOP and next time reduce the dose to 5 mg.
