My mercury-free dentist has the digital x-ray system. I could look at each

x-ray as they

were being taken before amalgam removal and every bit of amalgam showed as

bright

white on my x-rays. After he replaced them all he took one as a courtesy and

there was

nothing. He said that he can tell if there is any staining or anything he

missed by x-ray,

because it shows as a " ghost " or shadow under the crown.

Don't know if he is 100% correct, just thought I would share this.
