Well, I'm no expert BUT everybody is different. What one feels like at .24 another person may feel like at .86, just examples. So it varies. It really comes down to how YOU feel. Just listen to what the mods say, they are more of an expert than I am. I just wanted to throw in my two cents worth! LOL

Question, am I on the right track?

Thanks for your reply, at this point I really appreciate a positve response!

I actually do feel better, that's just it. water retention is getting better,

heart rate feels calmer/lower whatever, it's not beating hard anymore...actually

not true, it does but when that starts is how I remember to take the next dose.

Hoping someone can tell me if it is normal for FT4 to drop by so much when

switching to T3 only???

Colleen,

Can you please tell me how long you've been on your current dose of T3 only

before you felt water retention? I've been having the EXACT same symptoms along

with hives.... and I'm SO BUMMED because I LOVED my T3.

Hi ,

I had the worst water retention on the NDT (ERFA) at 2 grains, my shoes didn't

fit etc

I still have some (the indents made by my socks take up to 4 hours to disappear)

but I'm wondering if that has more to do with low sodium levels? (mine is 137)

and/or if it will disappear as the RT3 clears?

Did you get water retention when you started the T3?

No, I definitely had it while on ERFA (natural dessicated thyroid), but it was

just like fluid was travelling through my body...in the morning my hands and

wrists would be swollen and sometimes my feet and ankles. By the end of the day

I was swollen from the mid thigh down, skin was taut etc.

Since starting the cynomel I've seen the fluid retention reduce quite a bit from

where it was.
