The symptoms developed within about a week (maybe less) of taking high doses. I never had any gastritis symptoms from anything else. I tend to think the ALA caused my problems by redistributing mercury. --

Guest guest
Once I mistakenly emptied the contents of an ALA capsule on my tongue before washing it down with rice milk. I felt a burning hole in my tongue for nearly half an hour. I can only assume that if a capsule is swallowed where ever it dissolves open will be painful for the villies. Usually I stir half a 100mg capsule into rice milk and this works reasonably well followed by water. If I use only a small amount of rice milk and no water I get gut rot type symptoms. My daughter was only on TD-ALA and 10 mg per Cutler protocol when the pain hit. I guess what is high for each person depends on their level of toxicity. I wonder if the weakness of a certain system makes them more prone to mercury toxicity in that area. My daugter's toxicity problems are all in her gi system so it makes sense she would be prone to more gi issues while mobilizing the mercury. I talked to our toxicologist today and she voted for keeping the lipoceutical glutathione, but ending the ALA for now. Thanks for all your help.
