Misty If the weight is going on fast then it's fluid retention rather than fat and this means it should come off fast as well. What dose are you on now, where did you start, and what dose were you on before T3, it may be that you can tolerate an increase Nick -- for more information on RT3 and Thyroid Resistance go to www.thyroid-rt3.com
Guest guest
I was on 3 grains of armour. I very slowly decreased and then increased t3. I started at 30 mcg of t3 and now i have been at 120 for about 5 days. I was really hoping i wouldnt have to go any higher than that. I have been using a homeopathic thyroxine 30c to try and clean it out faster... I am going to do a tempt graph this week. and i will also post that but i am very very warm. THank you, Misty Re: Val/Nick from Misty >Nick expressed that it could take a little more time forthe receptors to clear, i guess i just need some encouagement bc this is affecting me emotionally. its like in 2 weeks i cant wear my shorts...i thought my metabolism was slow on armour, but now its really slow.. >any help would greatly be appreciated. Guest guest
There si NO WAY to clear RT3 faster. It must weaken and fall out of the receptors and nothing you do except reduce T4 will make it clear. The T4 rreduction is imperative or there will be fresh RT3 6to take it;s place, Homeopathis THYROXINE is T4 I would NOT take this. Thyroxine is synonymous with T4. I was on 3 grains of armour. Guest guest
hey misty, i just wanted to put my two cents in here, i used to be on 3-3.5grains of armour, discovered the rt3 issue and now am at week 11 of t3 only and have only made it to 56.5mcg of t3. it sounds very low, however, my temps are really good and my metabolism has been getting better and better, esp in the past week i feel like it is great. i feel really great, actually, energywise, moodwise, body wise. but if i tried raising my t3 too high, esp in the beginning, my temps would drop and i would feel soooooooo hypo, retaining water, no metabolism, slow and bloated, etc. you would think that if you were on too much t3 you would feel hyper, but actually i dont think that is always the case. just keep that in mind. i know we are all different here, but 120 seems like alot at the beginning of t3 only. that being said, i am sure there are some who have such severe resistance that really high doses are needed. also keep in mind that you might feel worse before you begin to feel better. hang in there:/ on a personal note, i am a swimmer too:) i am a mid to long distance freestyler, how bout you? me and my two sisters are swimmers; my younger sis is actually coaching out in hawaii, lucky her:/. sure do think all those killer practices over the years helped to beat the heck out of my adrenals. been out of college for 7years and i miss the sport:(. do you swim still? > > >Nick expressed that it could take a little more time forthe receptors to clear, i guess i just need some encouagement bc this is affecting me emotionally. its like in 2 weeks i cant wear my shorts...i thought my metabolism was slow on armour, but now its really slow.. > >any help would greatly be appreciated. Guest guest
I have had similar experience to you, Misty, so I'll add my 2 cents as well. ;-) For me going up too fast also does not make me feel hyper, just crappy, and I get edema! For me, I think it's because I don't have enough cortisol to handle taking so much t3 so fast. When I add in the HC, the t3 gets into the cells and the edema goes away. I thought I was gaining weight, too, but once I increased the HC a bit, I lost the water and the " weight " with it. But I was also low in potassium and supping that also help a lot to get rid of excess water.
