Guest guest
Val, Not sure what you mean when you say " could have suppressed it some " ?? ....i'm slightly freaking out b/c doc said this number was normal. If you recall I am having trouble with armour, can't seem to tolerate more than 15 mg. Could low aldosterone be a cause of this? Guest guest
As usual, your doctor does not know how ot interpret the aldosterone test, he ois loking at the range which is a range for tetsing HIGH aldosterone. http://www.globalrph.com/labinter.htm This site explains the normal ranges,I have found that under about 17 is too low. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets
Guest guest
Hi Val, Thanks for sending the link, I see I'm way too low. Not sure what to do next since doc thinks this is normal. Am no longer taking licorice as it bloated me up...won't florinef do the same? Also, would low aldosterone make it difficult for me to tolerate armour? And, would 35 mg hc lower aldosterone levels? Would aldosterone come up if I lowered hc? thanks for all, Dahlia > > As usual, your doctor does not know how ot interpret the aldosterone > test, he ois loking at the range which is a range for tetsing HIGH > aldosterone. http://www.globalrph.com/labinter.htm This site explains > the normal ranges,I have found that under about 17 is too low. > > -- > Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV > > http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ > http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ > http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets >

Am no longer taking licorice as it bloated me up...won't florinef do the same?<< Florinef works differnt than Licorice and salt. It works wiht salt, but not the same as. >>Also, would low aldosterone make it difficult for me to tolerate armour?<< YEs as it is apart of th adrenal problem oyu need to correct. >>And, would 35 mg hc lower aldosterone levels? Would aldosterone come up if I lowered hc?<< For some people HC lowers aldosterone alot, others not at all, so it is impossible ot know. But Usually not so much. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://www.seewell4less.com/Valspage.htm Medical Alert Bracelets

Guest guest
Hi Val! Got my doc to prescribe florinef...picking up rx tonight...please tell me best way to proceed....how should I dose? When should I dose? Do I continue using salt, if so, how much? Currently dosing 1/4 tsp many times throughout the day, as this really helps me not need to stress dose hc and keeps my temps up. How much should I use with the florinef? Assume I stop taking licorice? Currently dosing 40 hc as 15, 12.5, 7.5, 5; hoping to cut this back to 35..should I wait on this plan? Also at 30 mg armour, trying to build that dose back up. Waiting at least another week before even thinking about raising this. Thanks Val, if it wasn't for you I wouldn't have tried for the florinef. Dahlia >>Thanks for sending the link, I see I'm way too low. Not sure what to do next since doc thinks this is normal. Guest guest
Val, So, I need to stay on salt, gradually lower licorice and build my florinef dose so that my body will retain sodium...can you give me a loose time frame I'm working within here, like when to expect to start to see the flor. kick in? Maybe I'm being obsessive, but I feel I need some sort of game plan for the next week or so.... thanks, Dahlia Val writes: <You DO need salt for the Florinef to work, but oyu should need less of it once it is fully functioning. Basically Florinef helps oyur body retain sodium, without it your body loses sodium constantly. You sweat too much, you urinate too much and all the time losing salt with it. When your aldosterone is functioning right your boduy is able to retain the fluids abnd sodium it needs ot finction properly.> --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals?
