Guest guest
I've seen this referrenced many times but can't seem to find a definition. Can someone just give me a brief explanation? Thanks!
Guest guest
It's where all the thyroid hormone sitting in your bloodstream gets dumped into your cells at one time usually due to increasing your cortisol dose too quickly. Rie A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Guest guest
Thank ya, Rie. That's sort of what I figured. So...is this a threat when starting cortisol? Is there a way to prevent it?

Guest guest
Yes it can happen especially if your blood levels of T3 are too high. The way to prevent it is to build the cortisol up slowly and why the ramo up schedule was started. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
Guest guest
Val, I'm getting blood test tomorrow. Doc put T3 Uptake, T3 free, T4 total, T$ free and TSH on the form. I just checked off ferritin. Think it's okay for me to do that?? Also, I want to add RT3. There is spot for Additional Tests at the bottom but it asks for ICD-9 code. Can I just use the code she put at the top and write in RT3?
Guest guest
I have never added an RT3 to testing so I do nto know if it has it's own code or not. The ferritin I would think would be fine. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/
