Reducing it slowly is a lot more comfortable - you could try 2/3 strength for a few days, then 1/2 strength, then 1/3, etc. Or more slowly/quickly depending on your preference. Coffee is moderately high in salicylates so that is probably a good step to reducing salicylates. More on salicylate here: http://www.enzymestuff.com/conditionsensitivities.htm#10 Do you think you would tolerate some natural adrenal support (adrenal cortex extract, ashwagandha, ginseng)? Avoid licorice - I know that is *very* high in salicylates (or at least phenols). Even taking frequent doses of vit C/B5/B complex might be helpful, assuming you tolerate vitamins. Tyrosine might be helpful. Other adrenal-supportive things are protein with every meal and frequent snacks with protein, stress reduction, plenty of rest/sleep. --
