OT-aching glands after amalgam removal

I got 3 of my 5 fillings replaced a week ago today. For the first few days, I

felt great- more focused, better moods, etc. Now for the last few days, I have

felt like I am coming down with something. Then yesterday the fatigue came back

really strong. My glands in my neck ache off an on, and yesterday my glands in

the groin area started aching. I have had this off and on while I had all my

fillings, but I am wondering if removal can make something flare up. I am

wondering if I have a virus I don't know about, or if I have candida (I am not

maintaining gut flora without daily probiotics). If it is candida, does removal

of amalgams make it flare up? If not, what is this worsening of symptoms after

the first few days following removal? I have my last 2 coming out on Tuesday.

Thanks,

Olif

Olif, as long as I had amalgams, I had a tendency toward enlarged lymph nodes,

especially around the jaw and neck, with or without any obvious infection. I

noticed this a little more in early weeks after amalgams were removed, and

gradually they did go away. Perhaps you can take it as a sign that your immune

system is already a little more able to start fighting off long-term pockets of

bacterial or viral infection. My understanding is that persistent, latent

infections can hide for many years, and a worsening of symptoms means the body

is finally fighting it.

I think that no matter how many precautions are taken, some mercury will go

down your digestive tract as a result of amalgam removal, and that would give

candida the advantage, so keep up with your careful diet & probiotics during

this time and it shouldn't be too troublesome. I took activated charcoal before

and after dental appointments, which may be helpful.

There's a lot of little ups & downs in this process. Congratulations on

getting this work done!

BTW, I'm far more clear headed & energetic after just two rounds of DMSA. I

never expected that, and don't quite know how to react...I'm not accustomed to

this kind of energy & should be slumped over, achy & half asleep at this time of

day.
