I'm a sicko (and a complainer)

I have a rip roaring cold and I'm feeling pretty bad. I've been sick since Wednesday night. It came on really suddenly and at first I thought I had Cedar Fever from the blooming trees. But I am positive it's a cold. One of the grandkids (the 13 year old) is also sick. I'm going to complain a little here. Have you ever noticed when mom or gramma is sick they still do stuff? But when the kids are sick they lie in bed and read??? I feel really ill but I am still doing the dishes and cooking the meals. Then this morning the 15 year old took a zinc and a vitamin c, then complained that her stomach hurt too bad (from the vitamins) to even carry in her dirty dishes. I faced her and told her "I want to warn you --I'm very

short on sympathy today." Here's another complaint... last night no one could be bothered to put away the leftover food from supper. Nope, they all went off to bed, or whatever, and didn't think about about helping with evening chores. This morning I told everyone "I hope you don't mind eating the food I put away with my sick hands." I got kind of a shocked look because I usually don't say anything. I do say stuff to the grandkids but I'm talking about my son and his wife.
