TK--- these are two differdesnt drugs and not everyone responds the

same - treat it as something new which means starting with a low

dosage. I suggest 10mg which you can double up on later if it is ok

or split for less if not.

TK--- additionally - when you switch use it alone to make sure what

is happening and later once you start ALA again reduce dosage to an

appropriate corresponding starting dosage.

In my researching, I have read that DMSA is 20% absorbed by the body,

where DMPS is 50% absorbed (both when taken orally).

That would mean that 25mgs DMSA is similar to 10mg DMPS, whereas both

end up with about 5mgs being absorbed through the digestive system.

However, they are different drugs and will affect you differently.

I found that my symptoms at 25 mg DMSA every 4 h were _exactly_ the

same as those at 25 mg DMPS every 8 h. Of course, everyone is

different....
