I received notification by mail this morning that Blue Cross has reversed themselves and approved up to 18 sessions of pulmonary rehab for me. When they denied it I appealed and included letters from the pulmo and cardio guys along with quotes from a couple of PF web sites stating the need for rehab along with my own letter whining and begging. And today they agreed and reversed their denial. Needless to say I am thrilled and Monday will be all over those rehab people. Lesson learned: you are your own best advocate. This is also a very good reminder for the rest of us. Never take a no from the insurance company as the last word. Stand up for yourself!!!
