Guest guest
Mark, The main symptom of low thyroid is fatigue. Also, you may gain weight. It is not uncommon for diabetics to become hypothyroid. Also, thyroid is thyroid and there is no defiance between thyroid in a man or a woman. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2012 11:11 AM To: blind diabetics Subject: the rest of my blood work numbers. mostly all good news but one thing. the A1C of course still 5.9. LDL they said in March couldn't be measured and now it comes in at 135. the HDL was 31 and now it is 48. total cholesterol was 486 and now it is 236. my tryglirides was 1400 and now 244. all the other stuff showed normal, but it did say that my thyroid function levels are low. it said they will recheck it in 90 days. now my wife takes thyroids meds and I think it is the lazy kind. I actually know nothing about our thyroid except it is important for life. so what does this news maybe mean? where exactly is our thyroid? plus how does it make one feel if it isn't working as it should? I suppose I could go look on the net and read all I would ever wish to know about the thyroid, but I believe those most who have a problem with it and how it makes them feel. the rest of my results pleased the saw bones. now I have to maintain the lower readings and not allow them to get out of control again. Guest guest
ok, so then can I take a over the counter type of medicine or will it be a doctor kind of pill? read a lot yesterday on the net about it and I do seem to have a lot of the things it causes and have had for maybe 3 months best I can tell. probably actually much longer kind of like diabetes. they always told me being way over weight as I was most of my life would cause all kinds of health issues up the trail, so I ignored them and figured it only happens to the other guy and not me. always thought I had time and would have a worning so then I could get with the program and fly right. why can't we be so smart at a early age? why do we got to be block headed when we are young and think bad things can't touch us? Why does wisdom only come to us in our later years of life? I must know the answers to these very important questions so I can maybe stop some one I know from heading down the same path. the rest of my blood work numbers. mostly all good news but one thing. the A1C of course still 5.9. Guest guest
Thyroid meds are always prescribed. If you don't get the correct amount, it could be very dangerous to your health. _____ From: blind-diabetics [mailto:blind-diabetics ] On Behalf Of Mark Ruth Sent: Wednesday, July 18, 2012 3:07 AM To: blind-diabetics Subject: Re: the rest of my blood work numbers. ok, so then can I take a over the counter type of medicine or will it be a doctor kind of pill? read a lot yesterday on the net about it and I do seem to have a lot of the things it causes and have had for maybe 3 months best I can tell. probably actually much longer kind of like diabetes. they always told me being way over weight as I was most of my life would cause all kinds of health issues up the trail, so I ignored them and figured it only happens to the other guy and not me. always thought I had time and would have a worning so then I could get with the program and fly right. why can't we be so smart at a early age? why do we got to be block headed when we are young and think bad things can't touch us?
