Hi Anne

I've lowered the contrast and brightness scale down to 0 for both and

find it bearable. Occasionally I'll raise both readings to 20 or 30

percent for some videos but generally the lowest setting works fine.

Having a shaded incandescent bulb on will help offset the flicker of the

LCD.

Hi Willem,

Thanks for replying, I'm not quite sure what it is about the monitor

thats giving me problems, I thought it might the brightness but I've

adjusted the settings and it doesnt seem to make much of a

difference. Maybe it will just take a bit more time to get used to.

Thats a good idea about the bulb I will try that and I may get a

screen to cover it too to see if that helps.

Cheers,

Anne

you need to lower the refresh rate!

in the usa, you'd probably want to set it to 60hz, but i think you are

in the uk, so i'm not sure what is ideal for you.
