Juicing vs. smoothies?

Hi There,

I've been making green smoothies for a while with OJ, spinach, blueberries, and

yogurt. But my Bosch mixer still leaves the peels of the blueberries not

completely pureed and my son can't stand that. But, alas, I don't have money

for a Vitamix or Blendtec right now.

A friend of mine recommended for people with IBS symptoms (I have celiac but am

also become more " irritable " ) that juicing is the best thing to do to heal your

gut. Now, my mom has a juicer that I can borrow.

What do you all think? How is does juicing compare with smoothies? What are

the pros and cons of both? What has given you the most relief?
