Guest guest
Most artificial sweeteners are bad, but Sucralose is a derivativeof sucrose. I was tempted to suggest a form of Stevia, but it has a rather acidic aftertaste. My endocrinologist put me onto Sucralose.I am allergic to Mannitol, which is used in "sugar-free" ice creamand sugar-free frozen yogurts. Stevia does have real possibilities, and is not a true sugar and is natural; I found Truvia to be the bestof these. I would only add any sweetening agent if the fruit was very sour or tart. The same smoothie can be made with a food processor, or evena hand-held blender or food processor.Good luck!Love,n

Guest guest
If you defrost the mango, you can do it with an egg beater,or even by putting the frozen (softened) fruit in one largebowel and then pressing down on it with a slightly smallerbowel. This makes bread-making seem truly simple!Love to you, Akiba, and to Robbin and to all here with us,nTo: MSersLife Sent: Fri, May 6, 2011 4:09:31 PMSubject: Re: Smoothies/ingredients/ why Sucralose or Stevia, etc. I have none of the below, my only thing even remotely close is a balloon whisk. ~*~Hugs~*~ ~*~Akiba~*~ Pragmatic Visionary http://www.affiliates-natural-salt-lamps.com/pages/156.php -- Re: Smoothies/ingredients/ why Sucralose or Stevia, etc. Most artificial sweeteners are bad, but Sucralose is a derivativeof sucrose. Guest guest
I have to take the advice of my endocrinologist, who has helped me withmy diabetes for nearly 20 years over Dr. Mercola, with whom I am familiar. As I posted, Stevia can always be used. I seldom use either product however. The important thing about what I posted is the fruit and the yogurt. Non-diabetics can always use vanilla-flavored yogurt which is sweetened with canesugar. The discussion was about food and helping our friend to get usedto diabetes. No one HAS to use Sucralose, and no one has to use anysweetener to replace sugar. Truvia surely tastes better than most stevia, and I do use that in coffee (2 cups daily).Cheers!nTo: MSersLife Sent: Fri, May 6, 2011 4:12:22 PMSubject: Re: Smoothies/ingredients/ why Sucralose or Stevia, etc. Careful!http://www.karlloren.com/Diabetes/p40e.htmhttp://www.vegan-nutritionista.com/sucralose.html LifeportunitiesPractical Homeschooling Schooling confuses teaching with learning, grade advancement with education, a diploma with competence, and fluency with the ability to say something new. ~ PriesnitzHow to begin to educate a child. Guest guest
Do you use coupons n? There are always coupons for Truvia. Most of them are dollar coupons. Every buck saved is a good thing:) SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
