Correction - highly probable mercury toxicity.

That's a vastly elevated hair iron level. The well water does

seem to be a likely explanation - I wonder if it is from washing

your hair in that water all the time? Do you drink the well water?

If so, you must be one of those mercury toxic people who dumps

iron, judging from your ferritin...

Despite the iron in the well water, I am going to suggest re-reading

the last paragraph on p. 129 of HTI about the weak correlation

between high hair iron and certain cancers. This is not to alarm

you at all, but just to make you aware. I'm not sure I would have

pointed this out, except for the fact of your low ferritin despite

intake of high iron in well water. If you haven't had a

colonoscopy/endoscopy to rule out possibly reasons for

malabsorption, that is probably worth doing (I am not a doctor or

an expert - that is simply my opinion and suggestion).

Good that you are addressing the adrenal and thyroid issues.

Do you feel improvement since adding these supports?

Do you have very low bone density? (I think strontium is sometimes

given for that, and I don't know any other reason for giving it.

Is there evidence supporting its use?)

Are you using vitamin K for calcium metabolism?

You're missing milk thistle and molybdenum. Might want more

zinc. It's recommended to take that much B complex a few times

per day. The C should also be dosed 3-4 times per day and you

might want to consider adding more.

These are not reflecting body burden. The following article may

possibly give some insight on your four low electrolyte pattern:

I'm sure you know already that you need to get those last two

removed before you use any chelators.

Make sure you check her recommendations to verify that they are

consistent with Andy's suggestions. You can't rely on her to

understand fully or stick to important details.

Andy says vastly elevated bismuth is real about 1/3-1/2 of the time.

It could be falsely elevated or due to contamination, but since it

is a nasty toxin, it is worth eliminating sources of exposure.

Also, DMPS or DMSA along with ALA would be advisable for chelation.

Low potassium goes with thyroid problem.

Manganese is very elevated. I would certainly recommend you

re-read the sections on manganese on p. 119-125 and p. 258 to

see if you fit the picture of manganese toxicity. I would also

check your supplements carefully to make sure you are not getting

any manganese in supplement form. It is not generally recommended

in any case, but especially not if you have very high hair manganese.

Checking RBC manganese could be worthwhile.

Check any supplements designed for bone density support and calcium

absorption. I know mine has a little manganese (fortunately I am

very low in manganese).

Fast oxidizers do well on a high fat diet, and lots of vit D.

Na/Mg of .15 indicates low adrenaline production and you may

benefit from one or more of tyrosine, TMG, folic acid, vits B6, B12.

K/Ca of .02 suggests a thyroid problem, which you already know and

are addressing.

TSH doesn' mean much if the hypothyoidism is from improper signals

from the brain (secondary) or from improper transport.

Good thing your health care practitioner was willing to help.

Was that before you started on the isocort?

The way I use Lugol's is to put a drop on my arm. If it disappears in

24 h I need to use it. If it is still there in 24 h I have enough.

Makes dosing easy. (Got this idea from my pharmacist).

Do you mean 1-3 g? Could take even more and spreading it out over the

Do you mean 2000 iu? This amount is probably ok given your low blood

test. If you take 2 T CLO plus 2000 iu vitamin D per day test 25 (OH)

vitamin D levels again in a year or so.

When mineral transport is deranged levels of minerals in hair are not

usually a reflection of body burden ( some aren't even when mineral

transport is orderly).

What would you ask to test for? Many people find they need probiotics

and digestive enzymes during chelation anyway. There may be some diet

modifications that might help.

Extra stomach acid might help (Betaine HCl plus pepsin)

Please don't let her talk you into taking any chelators with amalgams

in, high dose DMSA or other chelators, no challenge tests. Cutler's

protocol is the safest.

> Ok, here are my test results. I appreciate your feedback! What's

When mineral transport is deranged it's not that useful to base

supplementation on the hair test results.

Cutler does say supplementary lithium (orotate or aspartate) may help

if levels are below 0.04 (p 257 ot HTI).

For supplementation, see Cutler's Amalgam Illness book. You have most

of the basics covered. You could add something to increase bile flow

(milk thistle extract), molybdenum, taurine, more B vitamins.

You are right to be pursuing adrenal and thyroid problems. It is not

easy to get the doses right. Hopefully someone will be helping you

with that.

> What questions should I ask my doctors?

They seem to be already willing to run the tests that you want - good.

Would they be willing to write a prescription for DMPS at the doses

that you want?

Good luck!
