Guest guest
Hi Gabi, Dr. Udell is my third and best DAN doc, and has the most reasonable fees. My first Dan doc wanted to charge $450.00 per hour for a phone consult and recommended a drug for a 3 year old that right now has a pending class action lawsuit because it causes bladder cancer - how ridiculous is that? Dr. Udell truly cares about our kids and only makes safe recommendations. He has done wonders for my boys. He was able to identify underlying issues and since those issues have been addressed, they are more productive in therapy (speech, OT, ABA) and in school. I know we continually struggle with where to spend our dollars for kids, but the truth is that if they are physically happy and healthy they are more apt to learn new skills. Hello everyone, I've been thinking about seeing Dr Udell but had a shock last night when a friend told me his initial consult cost about $600. Is that value correct? I just called them and left a message...Thank youGabi
Guest guest
I quite frankly find this discussion inappropriate for the listserve. If you want to talk about dr fees, e-mail each other privately. Dr. Udell (or any or Dr) has the right to charge what they deem fair for their services. I have taken a few friends and family members to Dr. Udell and he spends TONS OF TIME! He is a B.C. Pediatrician, not something that you are likely to find in the world of DAN! drs. Most have taken a few courses and go about it. Dr. Udell researches everything fully and his experience of what is safe, and what is not, is worth every penny. Guest guest
If he is so good, AND wants to help so many "why" doesn't he take insurance? Re: Dr Udell's fees? Guest guest
Well, I do appreciate all the responses I've received. Thanks to the doc himself who took the time from what's surely a busy day to answer, to the mom who broke down the fee (600 including 2 visits + tests is actually not bad!) and also to the mom who suggested filling the visit as an out-of-network - never thought of that!We saw dr Udell about 3 years ago and it didn't work out because the kid and I weren't ready, but we wanted to try again.Again, thank you all!Sent from a's iPhone I quite frankly find this discussion inappropriate for the listserve.
