Bruce,

I didn't even know I could get it on my phone until a few months ago. My parents bought a Garmin last winter and love it. Shortly after that I was talking to someone at church about it saying that I wanted one, she suggested I check to see if my phone was gps capable. I did that and discovered I could download the VZ navigator for... I think it was around $4.

It's definitely a great fail safe especially because I'm still getting used to finding my way around this area. The only thing I have to be careful of is that when I'm using the vz navigator I am using my phone minutes.

Bruce and Beth, I bought myself a

little GPS for the car. My 2004Honda did not come with one.I

gives me such peace of mind

when I venture to new places. It's so much better than Mapquest!!!With

the GPS it talks to me..

I don't have to stop somewhere to re- read directions.

Great little invention!

Bruce and Beth, I bought myself a

little GPS for the car. My 2004Honda did not come with one.I

gives me such peace of mind

when I venture to new places. It's so much better than Mapquest!!!With

the GPS it talks to me..

I don't have to stop somewhere to re- read directions.

Great little invention!

on their phones? lol

Don't you find an incredible comfort in it, in addition to the planned

directions? Just to know that you can't get lost. When I travel,

sometimes I'll go off my path to do something, knowing that getting back

where I need to be is just no problem. I was in Beaufort, NC and had a

nail in my tire, no flat. Just looked up nearest tire store and headed

there.

Bruce

jerry and i have been talking about getting rid of the house phone. but we live in a "gated " community, so we need to buzz visitors into the development.

the gates don't make me feel safe, anyone can walk in

Sher,

I have Verizon and I have GPS on my phone. The Verizon gps program is called VZnavigator and it's excellent!

Bruce ... well I just learned something else new. I didn't even know GPS was available on a cell phone.

I bought Rich a GPS for Christmas. I'd much rather have one on a cell. I'll have to call today and inquire.

Thanks.

Re: News Article

JeaneAfter my illnesses a couple of years ago my sense of direction andconcentration on routes changed. Prior I had been able to go anywhereand never get lost. However, my cell phone is Sprint and I have GPS onit (free in my plan, $10 or so in some). It's such a relief to know thatwherever I am, I can always just pull up where I want to be and getdirections. Also, comes in handy just when out and we suddenly decide tolook for something. Do a search, find it, find directions. Of coursethere are many GPS systems for your car, but I like this because even insomeone else's car its with me plus the price. It sure makes travelingand exploring a lot less stressful.> > > > > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > > > > > Men's Lacrosse: Colby helps raise more than $10k> > > > > towards> > > > > > > > > > Pulmonary> > > > > > > > > > > > Fibrosis Research> > > > > > >
