FIU Presents: Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention Program

This program is designed for children (age 2 and under) with developmental delays such as autism. The program will provide intensive, individualized intervention to help with communication, social, and pre-academic skills needed for a typical pre-school program. It also includes a parent training component.

Starting August 2012

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30am to 12:30pm

Location: Florida International University, Modesto Maidique Campus

Cost: $600 per month

Looking for independence, career training, and improved employability and social skills? It's time to apply to be part of a new type of business! Sign up if you are between the ages of 16 and 26, have a confirmed autism spectrum disorder, and have daily transportation to Florida City.

Must be available for a 2-week training course in September and October

Must be able to work outdoors for 4 to 8 hours a day

Experience in the car wash industry is not required

iCan Chat: Language Interventions using Assistive Technology

This intervention program is designed to improve communication and social interaction skills in young children with autism and similar disabilities. We provide child-focused language interventions (using communication devices such as the iPad), parent coaching, and targeted therapy sessions.

For children ages 2-10 with speech impairments

Location: Mailman Center for Child Development, Miami, FL

Cost: Free (parking vouchers will also be provided)
