Guest guest
Wow, Sandy, thank you for sharing this. What a blessing! Way to hang in there, Mom! Kelley > > I want to share a conversation I had with my 9 1/2 yr old daughter but first a bit of history. We have been following SCD now for over 3 1/2 yrs. We have done this as a family. I have not cheated and my daughter has followed it very close, caving to temptation maybe 3 or 4 times in this time frame and that was in the first months. Between following this and watching closely the chemicals exposure we have seen amazing results with our 8 1/2 yr old son. Before SCD it was not unusual for him to have 2,3 or even 4 out of control sometimes 2 hr rages in a day. This was day after day after day. Exhausting. Frightening. Frustrating. This was our life. > When we started SCD we were told we should see a change in 3 weeks, well we saw a change in less than 3 days. It was amazing! > > Now fast forward to our conversation. We were sitting on our front step visiting, just my daughter and myself. I squeezed her and told her how blessed I felt to have her as my daughter. She looked at me with teary eyes and said, " Mom, I am so glad that God put us in your family and made you our mom(these two children are adopted). If He hadn't any other family may have not done our diet the way you have and Tob.... would still be angry all the time. " > I was amazed at her insight. I was also so blessed that she could look at all the things many kids would think she had missed and be thankful for what she has. > I just thought that there might be a mom out there right now that is struggling the way I did in those first months and wondering if it would be worth it in the long run or just be a waste of time and energy. IT IS WORTH IT. > Be blessed > Sandy >
Guest guest
thank you so much for sharing - what a deep lil girl ! you're truly blessed to have each other!!!! have you shared with pecanbread??? you motivated me to try again with my OCD daughter who is doing so well but i bet this would help and she tried once but i kept her too limited i think - I think she can do it as my kids are used to not having what everyone else has -just cause their mom doesn't let them - LOL - they actually don't want it for the most part as they never had it so they're by nature, scdish anyhow - I'll give it a try - thanks again God Bless Eileen 18 months scd > > I want to share a conversation I had with my 9 1/2 yr old daughter but first a bit of history. Guest guest
I want to take the time to thank everyone for your kind words. Yes, my dear daughter is very perceptive and caring. She is such an awesome person. God has brought her a long way in the last 8 yrs. Actually I feel quite overwhelmed with thankfulness for both of these children. They have taught me so much about myself and life in general. Be blessed Sandy > > I want to share a conversation I had with my 9 1/2 yr old daughter but first a bit of history.
