Guest guest
I have with my daughter and we had no issues. We had a private nurse at our home when giving the IV – that was comforting for us. Guest guest
We have too and I think it really helped. There is a nurse that I know that will come to your house to do it. E-mail me privately if you want his information. Always Ana Brushingham To: sList Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2012 9:15 AMSubject: RE: chelation I have with my daughter and we had no issues. Guest guest
Hi ,Both my sons in earlier years had chelation treatment as part of their biomedical treatment schedule. My youngest son collapsed after one of his treatments - very scary. We obviously stoppped any further chelation after this. I would consider it very carefully. We never got any answers as to why he collapsed either; in fact his DAN Dr. was totally unhelpful and just sent us to a pediatrician. Personally, not a good experience at all. Guest guest
There was one death of a little boy in 2005, Abubakar Tariq Nadama, age 5, from chelation for autism, which was well covered in the press at that time. It was reported and confirmed by the Coroner the wrong chelating agent was administered and that was the cause of death. In the last 10 years (2003, 2005) there have been 2 other documented deaths attributed to chelation, but those were for other heavy metal poisonings of patients with already compromised health issues. There are several different types of chelation. There is DMSA, DMPS, EDTA, and others. All carry risks, just like any drug. When managed by a knowledgeable Physician the risk factor is statistically low for death or serious adverse side effects. That is why I asked who prescribed this course of treatment and what tests have been given. There is a protocol involved in determining when to prescribe chelation, what tests determine candidacy, and monitoring during treatment. Treating a child with chelation unnecessarily is an unnecessary risk. Children have died from aspirin too, the best thing you can do is educate yourself on this course of treatment so you can be aware of any concerns. Chelation has been around and has been in common use for over 100 years for heavy metal poisoning. It's certainly not new, it's use for autism is " off label " but perfectly legal, and the safety track record for this treatment is pretty good when measured against other similar invasive treatments. Guest guest
,I'm all in favor of trying things that may help your child but in general I think if you feel very hesitant it may not be the right thing for you and your child. These are hard decisions to make follow your gut. Best wishes. Sent from my iPhone We are 11 weeks into Biomedical treatment for our 4 year old son and have seen improvement. Guest guest
Hi , I was very hesitant to try chelation for my son until I came across the chelation protocol developed by Andy Cutler, PhD. It is safe, affordable, and does not require a doctor. A new book is out that details the protocol... " Fight Autism and Win " . Please note that the standard DAN protocol does have the potential to harm your child, as others have noted. I'm happy to tell you more about Cutler chelation if you'd like to learn more. Best wishes, > > Hi everyone; > > I'm kind of new in the group but I have found very useful information though the group. Thank you. > > Does anybody have any experience on the use of chelation?, one of my son's doctor suggested chelation, he was tested and the mercury level is a Little bit past the normal level but the lead is very high. He is 5 years old (autistic) and has ADHD and severe apraxia, the neurologist prescribed zoloft but I have not given it to him yet, has anybody use this medication. > > Thank you for any info you can provide. > > > > > __________________________________________________ >
