Guest guest
Dr. Rossignol who is in Melbourne, FL may be able to help with the behavior issues - http://www.icdrc.org/ - It is worth the drive to go and see him. I drive from Ft. Laud. Is the behavior issue due to excess testosterone or another issue? My son who is 28 has had issues since about the age of 12 that we are dealing with. My son takes niacinamide to reduce testosterone and help with this. We also give him a saffron capsule daily. He also takes prescribed Stavzor (Depakene) and a multitude of prescribed vitamin/supplements - " C " , B-12, beta carotene, evening primrose, etc. (about 14 things in all - some are compounded) You're wife could probabyl hire a (UF) college student who is studying to be a special ed. (or related field) teacher to assist her with the teaching duties. They may even have someone willing to volunteer through the leadership office: cls@... If that is not an option perhaps one of the following can help. You can call your local schools warehouse and ask if they have open days for home schoolers to come in and get free materials. In Broward Cnty. we can go get books, maps, etc. Clearinghouse Information Center, FDOE cicbiscs@... Florida Inclusion Network (FIN/Polk) Florida Department of Education - http://www.floridainclusionnetwork.com/page265.aspx http://groups.yahoo.com/group/KidsAbilitiesNCFL/message/433 This is an autism parent focus forum for Gainesville http://www.sbac.edu/~ese/resources.html http://autismoasisforkids.org/ they offer therapies etc. (about 25 miles from Gainesville) http://www.fun4gatorkids.com/classes/special-needs http://www.autism-pdd.net/testdump/test13546.htm Fla./Georgia mom's meet-up group http://localmarket.autismsupportnetwork.com/Autism_Support_Group_Gainesville_FL-\ p3900-Gainesville_FL.html I hope that this info is of some value to you.
