Guest guest
Hi all, I just wanted to say hi. I am new to the group. I suffer from VVS with most all of my pain being sex related (not a good thing when I'm married). I've have symptoms as far back as my first tampon. I was just diagonosed 6 months ago, but haven't/don't have insurance to try much. This illness has depressed me for the last 7 years when my first time with sex...the day after my wedding, I felt unbelievable pain. I was petrified to be near my husband as he wanted sex all of the time and I felt like I was being raped. I didn't even tell him how much it hurt for the first 3 months until I just couldn't let him near me anymore. We've managed to get through...and even had a wonderful daughter a year ago, but it is still so hard. We had hoped and prayed that the birth of our daughter would " open me up " , but alas it didn't help...just more pain from tearing. On top of everything, b/c of the pain (I believe), I have had no desire for sex. My desire went away about 3-6 mths before we got married as I knew that I was going to have to have sex and didn't know how I would get something so big into me without pain. I was right about the pain. Okay, I should go now that I've talked your ear off. Oh, BTW, how long do you generally have to go to PT? Does anyone know a good PT in the Chicago south suburbs? I don't know if I can afford it, but I'd like to see. The lidocaine has started to now really work and is burning. I need cheap solutions.
