Guest guest
I'm certain that with many chemical sensitivities & poor detox ability, I accumulated many chemical toxins over the years. When you really look into this, often symptoms attributed to mercury are similar to those connected with toxicities of other chemicals. Originally believing the source of my problem was chemical toxicities, food allergies & possible candida overgrowth, I worked very hard trying to detox before accepting the connection my practitioners were making with amalgams. I still consider it likely my mercury load still prevents my body from adequately releasing other toxins. I stay free of all chemicals to the extent possible (i.e., things like chlorine & formaldehyde bring about rapid respiratory allergic responses & fatigue, and diesel exhaust turns me into a zombie in minutes). After I've chelated mercury & heavy metals a sufficient length of time, I'll revisit things I can do specific to chemical toxicity if I'm still having a lot of trouble. There's tests for chemical sensitivities, but looking back, it wasn't worth it to spend the money on things I already knew. I guess I was pushing it with my doctors to get the point across with them. It's worthwhile to get tested for parasites, as they can seriously clog up the liver, diminish immune function, decrease nutrient absorption, and add to your toxic load. With a weakened immune system due to mercury levels, it's very common to find you've been vulnerable to parasites. When I was tested for this, I had moderate levels of a microscopic, single-celled amoeba. I felt a significant improvement as a result treatment for this. Great Smokies has stool sample testing. It was interesting when I got the result from mine. There was no reason at the time to suspect this, IMHO, but my allergy doctor had run blood tests that led him to order it. My immune system was depleted to the point where I had multiple viral, bacterial, possible fungal, and parasitic infections, and almost all of my immune factors were produced at below normal levels. I don't expect to come out of chelation feeling like a 20 yr old, but my immune system has improved significantly and any improvement in hormone, enzyme & neurotransmitter production/function will be a huge success.
