Guest guest
Thanks , There really isn't anything to talk about. I've decided to keep some distance for awhile. It will help me avoid getting angry and at the same time not ruin the only family I have. It did make me sick to my stomach and I've been crying every since. I just thought with all we've been through in the past year. hospitalization and near death. that he would understand better, but he just doesn't get it. I told him flat out I wish that for one day he could feel my pain. including the recent frozen shoulder. He thinks he knows it all because he majored in psych in college. There is a big difference in taking classes and practical application. Right now I'm too angry to make any definitive decisions, but tomorrow is another day and I will be thinking about a plan. what I am referring to now as an " out " plan. You know like when you get invited but don't want to go, so you need an out. That's what I'm working on. Guest guest
Tigger, First of all, he's male. Second, he's been insensitive to you a lot in the past. He doesn't want to hear about the reality of your illness. I'll say this much; guys want to fix things. If they can't just fix it, they don't want to hear about it. I know this is a generalization but its not derogative. Men and Women have different traits. Generally, most men want to take charge and fix things. If they can't they don't want to be reminded of it. That's why your brother has been helpful to you when there was something he could do. I don't want to make excuses for him here. I just want you to find a place in your mind where he won't keep hurting you so deeply. Did you at least enjoy your corned beef and cabbage?
