Guest guest
Peggy, I'm so sorry that you are in pain. For the first six weeks or so, I couldn't eat anything that had eggs in it. Also, it took about a month before I could eat beef patties and to this day that's one of my most challenging foods. It took trial and error to find my " always " foods. For me, that ended up being bananas, chicken soup per the recipe less carrots, any type of broth, home-made apple sauce, simmered green beans, sauteed spinach .... and did I mention bananas? It took a few weeks before I was able to add yoghurt to my " always list. " Everyone is so different, and so it's hard to know for sure what specifically is causing you problems. It's best to experiment within legal foods and ... just hang in there. Not all legal foods work for everyone in the beginning. After two weeks on the diet I almost gave up because I felt so much worse than before I started. Today I'm grateful for this list and all the recommendations and encouragement I received. Wishing you the best, Hannah SCD 08/08 At 03:53 PM 7/13/2009, you wrote: >Hi everyone, > >I am at my wits end! Guest guest
Is it possible that I am still paying the price for Thursday's mess up or could there be another culprit? ironic you should ask as i sit here back on strict intro 18 months in - I'm paying the price and just heard it could take weeks so hang in but don't stay just intro more than 5 days - introduce 1 thing at a time 2-4 days apart after that hang in- you will heal and improve - I am SO exhausted (not like me at all) maybe it's die-off and I'll be out of this soon I can't have ground beef - and never did well with DCCC so maybe something intro is upsetting you?? what kind of tea ?? go easy on honey -any illegal supplements by chance?? good luck eileen

Do you mean yogurt? Maybe shelf the cheesecake for a few weeks. > I did make a HUGE mistake last week and eat about a 1/2 cup of legal > cashews. It was WAY TOO SOON & I paid the price w/ pain & D. Is it possible that I am still paying the price > for Thursday's mess up or could there be another culprit? No real way to know. It seems like you're sensitive so take things slowly and don't move to advanced foods (cashews are advanced) too quickly. Be sure to list your ailment, how long you've had it, how long on the SCD (you got that one) and any other pertinent information when asking questions. -- Cheers, DF in MA UC June '07 SCD Nov '
Guest guest
I don't tolerate honey ... honey may be the culprit. I am on the low-carb version of scd. > > Hi everyone, > > I am at my wits end! I have been on the intro diet for 1 week & I am acually feeling worse than I did before I started the diet. What could I be doing wrong? Today I ate the cheesecake (made w/honey, eggs, juice of lemmon-NO rind, strained 1/2 & 1/2 milk that was free of any caraggean), chiken broth & the chicken used to make that broth, 2 pure beef patties, and 1 cup of tea w/ honey. I have these intermittent pains that I believe are caused by gas. I practcally double over from them & when I run to the bathroom not a whole lot happens except sometimes there is gas and some blood/mucus. > > I did make a HUGE mistake last week and eat about a 1/2 cup of legal cashews.
