candida tiebreaker?

in this corner, ladies and gentleman ...

My stool analysis test came back negative for yeast, but a recent post stated

that such tests can produce false negatives because they might miss yeast

" colonies " hidden in different parts of stool not tested.

So I just tried the saliva test this morning, which showed positive (though not

with copious amounts of " stringy " evidence), but the online test description

says such evidence " possibly " indicates candida.

So it seems neither provides a ringing positive or negative. Is there a more

reliably definitive test out there that folks use?

dazed and confused,

Hey Tom,

As it is conventional testing methods seriously lack. There are different

incubation times labs use and those are controversial too!

The cup spit test IMO only tests for few types of Yeast species. So therefore

it is pretty much moot on the macro level.

Did you use probiotics or charcoal before your test?

Were you on any kind of antibiotic?

Did you do a purge?

Anyway, bottom line it is safe to say that all of us with gut issues enter the

SCD with gut dysbiosis. The key for SCD is starving out bad bacteria and

getting gut ecology back to " normal " or as normal as can be.

It is important to know your symptoms and see if they match Candida symptoms.

Another avenue to explore is natural antifungals and doing them on rotation.

But the diet just may be enough for you to restore gut ecology using SCD

probiotic rich yogurt and supplement.

Stool testing is great if there is something out of the ordinary.. but don't

waste too much time on testing.

Sometimes, it requires three or four stool tests before you get a

positive.
