Guest guest
>>>>>>>>>>>Oh, BTW, how long do you generally have to go to PT? Does anyone know a good PT in the Chicago south suburbs? I don't know if I can afford it, but I'd like to see. The lidocaine has started to now really work and is burning. I need cheap solutions. Thanks, Hi , and welcome to the group! I just recently drove NINE hours to see Rhonda Kotarinos (the PT Molly recommended). Vulvar pain is extremely difficult and most of us can relate to the things you said...lack of sex drive, being afraid to try sex, 'hoping' to finally get past the pain, etc. I developed v.pain 15 years ago...but the pieces of my puzzle are starting to come together...and I'm doing better. My point here is that although it is 'expensive' I truly recommend that you try to at least go to Rhonda K. for an evaluation. She is an incredible woman and is literally known as the best PT for Pelvic Floor Dysfunction (in the nation). My husband 'filmed' most of my sessions with her (2 hr. sessions for 3 days). Since we've been back home he is studying the tapes and doing home PT on me. Just those 3 visits really made a difference for me. I think it's nearly impossible for those of us with chronic pelvic pain not to have pelvic floor dysfunction. We get in a vicious cycle of pain = tensing our muscles = more pain, etc. I wish with all of my heart I could have seen someone like Rhonda many, many years ago. But I still have hope...and I know in time I will be well! Many hugs, ~Chelle Here is Rhonda's contact info: Rhonda Kotarinos One Tower Lane, Suite 360 Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181 She charges $150 per hr., and every dime I spent seeing her was worth it!
