I've read that picolinates cause DNA damage (ie are carcinogenic) in

vitro and animal studies. I read in PDR for nutritional supplements

that chromium chloride and chromium polynicotinate don't have the

same problem, so I purchased Chromium polynicotinate from

Vitamin Shoppe. You really have to read the labels - only two bottles

of the host of others have this less risky form. Although it's

worrisome it has the name " nicotine " in it!

TK--- andy recommends chromium picolinate AI p148. there are many

studies that say a variety of things that are not necessarily corect.
