I am on replacement cortisol. If I miss a dose, or get stressed, the first symptom I get is nausea and taking cortisol always resolves it. Something to consider. It would make sense that your cortisol levels could be low on waking. J > The thought of breakfast > terrifies me LOL! > > Russ >
Guest guest
Hi Now my cortisol and DHEA were saliva tests, but the volumes of saliva i game to them were ion the low side, so i am getting them rececked to be on the safe side. However my cortisol levels were on the medium to high side, (my 4pm sample was over the range) and all my DHEA were over the range. My Free T4 was midrange, and my Free T3 was in the low range. Any advice would be appreciated. Guest guest
Your saliva tests have me stumped. I think rechecking them is a good idea. If it is convenient, try to get the am sample on a morning when you are having the nausea. If you have hypothyroid symptoms and a low morning temperature (take your temperature every am before rising for several days), consider asking a doctor for thyroid hormone. There are some doctors who are willing to treat the symptoms. If I remember correctly depression was one of your symptoms? T3 has been used to treat depression. Guest guest
Thanks It is my depression, anxiety and fatigue (foggy head etc) that are the main symptoms. I also have high Blood Pressure and Pulse rate. Actually i was having nausea that morning i did the saliva tests. I think an under active thyroid does give those symptoms to. My body temp in the morning is always around 36C or 97F ish in the mornings. It then goes to close to 98.6F in the afternoon, but drops down back down to 97F when i go to bed. If your temperatures are fairly constant at the same times each day, i think adrenals are ok (which my temps are). This is only a guess but as my cortisol levels are on the high side, (and from my hair test my adrenal are in a alarmed state), i think my adrenals are working flat out because of the thyroid problem, and will eventually get exhausted if i dont do anything about it. As my Free T3 is low, i would like to get this checked out Thanks again Russ > > > > > > > > > > Thanks again Steph. > > > > > > > > I have had my adrenals checked.
