Welcome Delbert,

You will figure out how this list works real fast tomorrow when everyone

returns. The weekends are pretty quite. If it turns into too much mail, you

can go back to Yahoo where you joined and redo your setting for digest form,

but I find that too hard to follow.

While you are there...look at the main page for our group, and you will find

great links, and our files section.

You will be interested in our hypo / hyper symptoms list, and our list of 20

reasons I will never have RAI.

I had a friend with Hashis one time, while she was in the hyper phase of it,

and she found that very LOW iodine, no MSG, and no caffeine or high sugar

helped her tremendously. We lost touch once she slowed down and went to hypo

I will be very interested in what the others have to say tomorrow.

One thing I have always wondered about....do they ever do Block and Replace

therapy for Hashis ? It would make more sense than RAI. But I had Graves'

and am in remission, so I am only thinking out loud here.

's site helped my Graves' and got me in the healing mode, but Graves' is

a bit different. Clearer to understand.

Are you hyper or hypo right now ?

No. Read BTVC. The dextrose in table salt is used to bind the iodine.

That's the only reason it's there, so it's a minuscule amount. Elaine

felt the benefits of the iodine far outweighed what the tiny amount of

dextrose might do.

Some people feel the added minerals in sea salt or Real Salt are better

than plain table salt, and they may be correct. BUT, we still need the

iodine. (I worry less about it because I eat plenty of shrimp and other

shell fish).
