Guest guest
It's nice being remembered in part for all of my disasters. LOL.I am feeling loads better and thankfully the surgery is more and more becoming a thing of the past!BTW- I totally made myself chuckle too.. Isn't half the battle considered over when you can make yourself laugh?"Happy is the man who can laugh at himself; He will never cease to be amused." Not sure who said it, but I think it's quite a tidbit of wisdom =) Pour Dieu, pour terre,Alyssa =D
Guest guest
In my mind I am looking at it now as having staples both in my belly and head. How is that for proving gut and psychology syndrome? LOL...LOL x2!!!! Haha it's great how you can already laugh about it =) People always say, "hey, one day you'll look back at this and laugh." It's nice that your 'one day' is sooner rather than later =) Pour Dieu, pour terre,Alyssa =D
Guest guest
And yes, I would say half the battle would be over if you can laugh. Just make sure you go "low and slow" on those belly laughs or you might poke someone's eye out with a flying staple... Lol!! I can picture that. I think this would be called 'comic relief.'(comic relief: (n) Comedy used by Shakespeare to reduce tension in a suspenseful situation. ) ^ This is what they drill into your head at school. When is that knowledge ever going to help me in life? Sure won't help heal my gut, which is what I really need to know! And yet they don't teach you anything about diet other than "drink milk and eat bread." Seems pretty backwards to me. Guest guest
Jodi, I'm so glad you are allright ! !! Please check with a doctor you trust. Getting lockjaw is not a pretty way to go. If you truly had a tetanus shot 2 years ago, you might be OK, but if not, you really want to get one. Your gut is in a good place, and you're an adult. I'm a former public health person, and am now quite skeptical about lots of vaccinations. Tetanus is the one I really would advise people to get because the spores for it are ubiquitous. They even live in the the City. :-) Please make sure your feel OK cognitively--if you " feel " like anything is different, go to see a good neurologist right away. Guest guest
Sounds like good advice. I hope you are alright Jodi. What a freak accident. It’s a good thing you have a sense of humor. Given all you’ve been through you must be tough as nails, so to speak. Take care and Be Careful! Carol From: BTVC-SCD [mailto:BTVC-SCD ] On Behalf Of Sue Jodi, I'm so glad you are allright ! !!
