Guest guest
Hi Kitty thanks Yes,,,, I have been doing temps for years. The other thryoid forum I belong to tells me its my adrenals all the time. But I don't think its that ( but i am not sure). Ok after I wrote this message I took a total split up of 65mcg total and kinda think I may have gotten some energy, not sure. Did not get no bad reaction like - hot, high temp, heart racing, NOTHING like that ever happens so I must need more. SO I guess what your saying is i need to raise. I used to crash and have to go to bed on high doses of T3,,but maybe my adrenals is strong now and that does not happen. Also my Rt3 has to be cleared I have been on t3 only for 7 months. > > 50mcg of t3 is very little. I have read that most need 75-125mcg to be able to clear RT3. You are supposed to increase until you get temps of 98.6. Guest guest
What are your daily temp averages? If they are steady <within 0.2 each day> then your adrenals are supported. If they vary over 0.2 then the adrenals need help. How are you splitting the T3? I take mine 4x a day. I don't know if you can clear RT3 on to low of a dose regardless of how long you take it. Do you have a thyroid? I think you have to suppress your TSH way down so that your T4 goes down to be able to clear RT3. If that is the case then that would explain why you aren't feeling better. Guest guest
ok,,thanks so much for that info that is something I did not know. So my temps do vary,, is this normal. morning low around 96.7 then rise a little and by 3-4 pm they are 97.7 and stay around there at the HIGHEST. My thing how I look at it is AFTER I take t3 my temps should bump up A little if they do I know its getting into my cells and doing something THATS THE BOTTOM LINE. BUT instead I go cold one hour later in the feet mostly - ice cold. BUT I believe my adrenals in my mind are good BECAUSE-- I use to crash( need to go into bed immediately and literally went into a coma for 1 to 2 hours in bed) and thought it was the T3 I was crashing from,, but I think it was my body Down regulating from t4 making Rt3 now that I think of it..does that make sense??? But now that I don't take t4 with my t3 I CAN TAKE all the t3 I want and not feel anything of course Now I understand MY DOSE IS TO LOW the both of you are basically saying. Yes, i spread my doses out I do 37.5mcg (9am)/ 25mcg(12noon)/12.5mcg (3pm).... SO I GUESS I SHOULD RAISE MY DOSE. I JUST HATE GOING BACK ON HC. ALSO THIS IS IMPORTANT-- I could still be making rt3 I wondered about that and thought about that. here is my numbers as of april 15,2010 Tsh- High 6.05 (range .40 to 4.50) free t3 330 ( range 230-420) free t4 0.6 low ( range 0.8- 1.8) I should raise my dose,,I will add some HC I guess. Thanks for all your help,, let me know what you think if you have a minute > > > > 50mcg of t3 is very little. I have read that most need 75-125mcg to be able to clear RT3.
