Guest guest
I have just re-read Andy Cutlers book " amalgam illness " for the second time in a month, and now I have some questions. The first of which is: The section " diagnostic checklist " page 56-57. After re-reading again and again its now mostly clear whats what and how to tot up the totals. Q: How accurate is this method of diagnosing mercury poisoning? I'm not talking about the LAB tests, just the stuff I can do/see on my own at home? i.e all my symptoms? Allergy, bleeding gum, tremors, constipation, CFS, MCS, etc…. I was able to answer 21 of the 58 questions (without any lab tests done) and of the 21 questions I could answer 16 where positive. According to his table for 97.5 pct certainty 7 positive out of 18- 24 questions answered (m) is enough. And for 99.9pct certainty 8 positives out of 18-21 questions (m) is enough. I scored 16. If I read up Fibromyalgia for an hour or two I would probably be 17 positive. All the history, symptoms, troubles all come together nicely in his book and I am now 99.99pct sure I have mercury poisoning. I have also been confirmed mercury toxic and highly mercury sensitive by two different muscle testing people. I am 99.99pct sure because of this book he wrote, but are these diagnostic checklist accurate? Are there any other checklists i can cross-check with? It's all pretty humbling finding this stuff out. Amalgams start coming out Wednesday with correct protocol. Sunshine

I just redid the test from memory of where I was at before amalgam removal. For me, m = 27, n = 19. To have 99.9% certainty n would have to be 9 or higher. No doubt. In all the time I have been following groups I have suggested that people take this test but I haven't read reports from many people. The other thing to do is have a hair test (DDI essential elements). Once you have your amalgams out and start to chelate, symptoms with chelation will confirm toxicity. > It's all pretty humbling finding this stuff out. Guest guest
Hi . i have been thinking about yr post the other day. you said:- > Once you have your amalgams out and start to chelate, symptoms with > chelation will confirm toxicity. thats very interesting. so does that mean if i have no mercury in me that i will get NO symptoms when i chelate after all amalgams out? Thanks
Guest guest
I think my husband's a good example of not having toxicity. Despite 8- 9 amalgams and a gold crown, he can take a once per day supplement with 20mg ALA and not be 'phased' at all by it. On the other hand, even though my amalgams came out 2 1/2 years ago, I can't tolerate the symptoms of that much ALA spread out over a day with frequent dosing & have to use DMSA with it. Hope that helps. There aren't very many people in this world who have zero mercury in them. You would need to test with increasing amounts of chelator - like if there was no reaction at 12.5 mg, try 25 mg, if no reaction try 50 mg and so on. I don't know what dose you would use to decide the trial was over - whether it would be 1/2 mg/lb, 1 mg/lb or the insane 10 mg/kg that some DAN doctors use. ALA would have to be part of the trial because it is the only chelator that goes after brain mercury. > Thanks >
Guest guest
Thanks, its all very interesting. whatever i do, i will start very slowly and cautiously, starting with low dosages. I took some cystine a couple of weeks ago, on advise, and that is not something i will try again in a hurry. it seems that the doctors, osteopaths, natropaths or whatever that i see have very very limited first hand experience in mercury detoxing but are very liberal in dishing out advise and things to take. the knowledge and advise i recieve from this (and other) dedicated mercury forums is much much more consistant with what i have read in the mercury books. thank you
Guest guest
what a strange world we live in? what timing....i have just read the chorella thread here & i have just received an email from my Kinesiologist, to whom i trust very much, suggesting i take chorella. I can guess what he did, he just googled mercury detox, read a couple of links and then suggested i take it..... note to self.....do my own RESEARCH!
