Guest guest
Question for the masses -- how much is EMS getting from this fund as opposed to the hospitals? -Wes Ogilvie FW: Contact your House member today! Amendment to repeal DRP filed Importance: High Forwarded from TETAF regarding the current legislative session. Leigh Anne Bedrich Emergency Healthcare Systems Program Manager NCTTRAC ________________________________ From: Dinah Welsh Rep. Sylvester (D-Houston) has filed an amendment that would repeal the entire Driver Responsibility Program. The amendment has been pre-filed for the Department of Public Safety Sunset bill (HB 2730), which is on the House Calendar for today. Please make contact with your House member NOW to explain the damage this amendment would do to the trauma and emergency health care system if it is passed! Additionally, Rep. Yvonne -Toureilles (D-Alice) has filed an amendment that is identical to HB 454, which was a $30M impact to DRP. This amendment would not require a person who has paid the DRP surcharge for 12 months or completed a driver safety course to pay the remainder of the surcharge. Ask your House member to oppose this amendment as well. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Regards, Dinah DINAH S. Guest guest
Way to go group!!! I just called the office for my representative. They were happy to take the information, and " pass it along " . The lady that answered the phone stated EMS had a big turnout this week, and that was one of the groups that caught her attention.
