After a TSH of .005 and feeling awful, I dropped all dessicated and stayed on SRT3 120mg.Since then my pulse when really relaxed is as low as 60 bpm, but my temps are better-even hitting 99F and that's after a couple of strenous days, something that would not have happened before-before after any sort of hard work or stress I would have seen lower temps for a couple of days.I am sore-I overdone it at work and tired, but yet I have energy and acually feel like doing stuff, but pulse shows I am hypo as heck-correct? or am I missing something? My pulse will climb if I get a little busy-maybe 66-84bpm just fiddling around the house, but that's about it.I've only been off dessicated for 5 days, but I can tell I was over medicated-the return of energy alone with much less muscle weakness has been a God send.Pulse as I type this is 66 bpm, and temp is around 98.5 and I haven't done anything today. It's 2 PM.
Guest guest
Do you know what your pulse was before you started? Maybe this is a normal resting pulse for you. Do you exercise at those in better shape do have lower resting pulses. It could also be that you aren't getting adrenaline surges to maintain BP now that the t3 is reaching your cells. I think Nick mentioned that t3 can lower pulse sometimes in that case. Just throwing some ideas out there. > > bump > > > > > ________________________________ > > To: RT3_T3 > Sent: Tue, May 11, 2010 2:03:48 PM > Subject: Temps better-pulse lower (real low)??? > > Â > After a TSH of .005 and feeling awful, I dropped all dessicated and stayed on SRT3 120mg. > > Since then my pulse when really relaxed is as low as 60 bpm, but my temps are better-even hitting 99F and that's after a couple of strenous days, something that would not have happened before-before after any sort of hard work or stress I would have seen lower temps for a couple of days. > > I am sore-I overdone it at work and tired, but yet I have energy and acually feel like doing stuff, but pulse shows I am hypo as heck-correct? or am I missing something? > > My pulse will climb if I get a little busy-maybe 66-84bpm just fiddling around the house, but that's about it. > > I've only been off dessicated for 5 days, but I can tell I was over medicated-the return of energy alone with much less muscle weakness has been a God send. > > Pulse as I type this is 66 bpm, and temp is around 98.5 and I haven't done anything today. Guest guest
Good idea Nick-I am still on 120 SRT3 so that may be enough. Temps were decent today, but basal still low, but it was low before. I really do think the more I look into this the more I see a adrenal problem. I'll know more like you said as time passes. Right now temp is 98.5 after 12 hours of work and pulse is 70. I feel much better off the dessicated at this point. > > > > >Since then my pulse when really relaxed is as low as 60 bpm, but my temps are better-even hitting 99F and that's after a couple of strenous days, something that would not have happened before-before after any sort of hard work or stress I would have seen lower temps for a couple of days. > > > >I am sore-I overdone it at work and tired, but yet I have energy and acually feel like doing stuff, but pulse shows I am hypo as heck-correct? or am I missing something > > I found when I stopped natural and went to T3 I had a surge after a > week or so and had to drop the T3 temporarily. Guest guest
Out of curiosity, how are you dosing the SR t3? I was having some issues lately with the t3; it seemed not to be lasting long at all, but then I may just have needed more. I get a bad slump in the early afternoon before my 2nd dose and it's not adrenals as I tried taking extra HC and it doesn't affect it. However, to make matters worse and more complicated, I then decided to try to switch to Cynomel. It is MUCH stronger and who knows what the actual conversion is from srt3 to cynomel. Probably not a good idea to switch soon after I'd changed HC dosing per Val. Too many changes at once equals who knows what is doing what! Do you think I should just go back to the SR and take more, then? It does work for me, it just seemed to wear off too fast, as I said. The morning dose, especially. Guest guest
Oh, thank you so much for answering! I know a lot of people don't like the SR, so it is nice to hear from people who take it and it works. Another woman here takes it with good results, but she takes it AM and bedtime which totally doesn't work for me as I feel it wear off in the afternoon. Plus I can't imagime taking 1/2 at bedtime as it seems to me that 50% of the capsule releases immediately. In fact, it sounds like you have the same issue I do- that while it works, it doesn't seem to last very long. I was dosing 3 times a day and the AM dose just doesn't last until the 2nd one. I thought I might just need to increase the first dose, but as it seems like 1/2 of it releases immediately, this isn't necessarily something I wanted to do. I initially started taking some of my dose at bed simply because my adrenals didn't seem to be able to handle taking it all in the day. I was surprised that I was able to handle it this way and it gave me energy in the AM. Hmmmm, so if you're taking it 4 times a day anyway, I go back to my original thought to myself: might as well take Cynomel! I went from Cynomel to SR because I wasn't tolerating the Cynomel at the time and the SR seemed a bit gentler on my adrenals. Guest guest
Yes, I agree. I think I wasn't taking enough HC to tolerate the Cynomel at the time and also, I may have been dosing incorrectly. I was doing 6.25 every 2 hours to try to be easier on my adrenals but I think I ended up too much of a total daily dose. I probably needed 6.25 every 3 or 4 hours.
