Guest guest
No it means you can raise thyroid. It means your dose os good and you need to hold it htere. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

Once I got to 30mg, I started to find the side effects unpleasant. Was hoping I could reduce. Actually, I have been raising my thyroid dose gradually. Yesterday I went up to 1/2 grain, split morning & 2pm. I should know tomorrow if I can tolerate it - twice before I started on 1/2 grain but knew by the third day I couldn't tolerate it. So tomorrow is crunch day :-) May I ask, then, what is the general plan? Will I likely need to stay on HC for the whole time I am raising my Armour dose (in the presumption that I will start to feel well at some point)? And then slowly ramp it down at some point after that? Since I've got you :-) can I ask about temps as well please? Morning basal temps (oral) have been thus lately: 97.2 97.0 97.3 (went up to 1/4 grain) 97.1 97.0 97.1 (missed) 96.9 96.8 96.9 (went up to 1/2 grain) 97.0 And the average over the day has been like this: 97.6 97.1 97.6 97.6 97.6 97.7 97.4 97.3 97.2 97.3 97.2 Looks to me like they are no longer low & unstable. They were wildly unstable, on lesser doses of HC. Looks to me like they are now getting lower & very stable. So HC adequate, more Armour needed, do you agree? Many thanks as always, Rosie/
Guest guest
Your temps look just as hypo as your labs. But they are fairly steady . What the plan is is to hold the HC where it is until you optimize thyroid. The adrenals CANNOT heal while the body is hypo. If you lowered HC now you would feel OK for abotu a week maybe two until the strain of the hypothyrodi drained the Adrenals again. SO you hold this dosetil youare optimal on thyroid, then in a coule weeks after your temps reach 98.6, TYHEN you slowly try lowering the HC. Some need to hold it longer, some need to go down VERY lowly. Some can not get off it. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormonesADRENALS/ http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/RT3_T3/

I really am on a steep learning curve - sorted adrenals & pure hypoT is a completely new situation for me. Rosie/
