Dear families,There is a fantastic training THIS Saturday, May 19 at Barry University: The DIR Conference 2012, Integrating Approaches to Autism.This training features DIR faculty and OTR/L Lois Gold presenting on The Contributions of Sensory Processing and Emotional Development to Autism and Related Disorders, and Kathleen Platzman, Ph.D. (flying in from Atlanta), presenting on how to include and engage parents as part of the treatment team, Considering the Individual Differences of the Family. In addition, you will have the opportunity to better understand the role of nutrition and special diets from renowned nutritionist Dawn Simon and a look at Supported Typing and Communication from Communication Consultant and Special Education Romaine.
